A toast to our first Smartees!

Yesterday, the first Smartees took place in our offices. Smartees are a series of workshops, where we share knowledge and experiences on different research & marketing topics. The previous one was on Advertising research. Steven Van Belleghem, Director Brand & Communication research presented, together with two our senior consultants working in his team, Dennis Claus and Angie Deceuninck. They covered these marketing questions: How can I, as a advertiser, connect with my customer? How can I effectively measure the impact of my advertising campaign? How can I track offline conversations between my customers? The Smartees took place in  a fully booked penthouse. There was a lot of interaction, a lot of thoughts on the topic that were shared, which was great!  Just like we hoped it would be. If you still want to join this Smartees on Advertising research, we set up an extra date on 2 October in Ghent and 7 October in Rotterdam. Check out the full program here and sign in online.

Discovering Rotterdam

Last friday and saturday, we enjoyed the teambuilding event in Rotterdam. Our new office opened there on the 1st of August, so it was an absolute must that we visited this dynamic city. We came by boat en left by boat, discovered the city in separate teams during a city-game, had lots of food and drinks and discovered the Rotterdam nightlife. The past months, a lot of new people started working with InSites, we are now a company of 73 people. So, on a teambuilding event like this, it’s really interesting to get to know each other a bit better. Hup holland hup!

See us at the NIMA Expert Class ‘Connected Customer’

On 30 September, we will be sharing our knowledge at the NIMA Expert Class ‘Connected Customer’. Steven Van Belleghem (Director Communication Research) will be giving the introduction on being connected. Prof. dr. Niels Schillewaert (Managing Partner at InSites Consulting and Associate Professor in marketing at Vlerick Management School) will be giving the session “Science insights on marketing 360°”.
With all the web 2.0 developments it is really hard for marketers to stay connected with their customers. As a new entrant on the Dutch market InSites Consulting, together with NIMA, want to share their experience and knowledge on how to get and stay connected with the online customer.

Dutch Week

With our brandnew Dutch office in mind, the whole InSites crew is visiting Rotterdam this Friday for a two-day teambuilding event. The Dutch Sales & Marketing team decided our colleagues needed a brainwash into the Dutch Culture. Every day Cora van Mora herself keeps them updated on all sorts of activities and insights on the Netherlands. We started on Monday with ‘Orange Day’, this day everybody had to wear an orange clothing piece. Other themes this week are ‘Dutch Song Day’, on which we pay tribute to André Hazes. On ‘Dutch Dish Day’, we suprise them with all kinds of Mora snacks and on ‘Dutch Office Day’ our Dutch sales team gives them an insight on what they are achieving on the Dutch market.

If you want more information on our Dutch Office, feel free to contact Ramon Pardo (ramon.pardo@insites-consulting.nl - TEL +31 (0)10 204 56 71).

Join our Smartees on Advertising Research

Steven Van Belleghem, Director Brand & Communication Research“We all know that the consumer has changed during the last few years,” says Steven Van Belleghem, Director Brand & Communication Research. ”Many workshops have learned us about this new trend and is consequences. One of the remaining questions is still: what do we, as marketers, need to change in our day to day job to deal with this trend? At InSites Consulting, we developed a new view on advertising taking into account the perspective of the new consumer. In our vision, the brand becomes more central than ever. As a marketer you can still influence your brand by advertising, but on the other hand, the conversations consumers have about your brand may even be more important. From this perspective on, we created some new ways of doing advertising research. In our advertising research, we measure both the direct and indirect exposure. Next to that, we developed tools that measure both online and offline conversations”.
“On September 23th, we will present this vision in our Smartees, taking advertising research forward. The Smartees will contain this vision, lots of client cases and new research techniques that help us get more insights on the consumer 2.0″. Read more about our Smartees on www.insites.eu/smartees.
